11.12.2005 Opening of The Research Institute in Shizuoka Cancer Center

The research institute facility has been constructed on the premises of Shizuoka Cancer Center to provide and support joint research between Shizuoka Cancer Center and other research centers including universities.
Shizuoka prefecture is promoting The Pharma Valley Initiative to develop an industrial cluster in the area of health and medicine in the eastern part of the prefecture where Shizuoka Cancer Center is located. The opening of the research institute is expected to facilitate joint research between industry, academia, and government.
