November 10, 2008, Ranked top for factory locations in Japan in 1st half of 2008.　

According to the factory location trend survey for the first half of 2008 released (as a quick report) from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry on October 29, 2008, Shizuoka prefecture was ranked top in the number of firms which advanced to the prefecture, followed by Hyogo prefecture at 2nd place, Gunma and Saitama prefectures at 3rd place.

As for the total location area, Shizuoka was at the brilliant 1st place followed by Fukuoka at 2nd place and Hyogo at 3rd place.

For the past five years, Shizuoka has been ranked high --- three times at 1st place, two times at 2nd place, which fact is evidently proving Shizuoka and its environment are excellent for and best fitting to building and starting up a factory.
