Ranked at the 2nd place in Japan for the number of locations of foreign firms in 2007.　

According to the summary published in 2007 from Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Shizuoka prefecture is ranked at the 2nd place among 44 prefectures in Japan for the number of locations of foreign firms and foreign firm affiliates.
