Mt. Fuji Shizuoka Airport proved a favorable launch.

Three months have passed since the launch (June 4) of the Mt. Fuji Shizuoka Airport that is the first commercial airport in Shizuoka prefecture.
At present, in addition to regular flights by three domestic airlines (six routes, 140 flights a week) and three international airlines (two routes, 36 flights a week), irregular charter flights are in service for East-Asian countries.

Because of the pandemic of the new influenza as well as the global simultaneous recession, they are concerned about the growth of the number of passengers, whether domestic or overseas, it proved a favorable launch as seen in the average seat occupancy rates --- 70% on international lines and 63% on domestic lines in August --- according to the airport department of the Shizuoka prefectural government.
